Chemical Technician I
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Operate and assist on plating and chemical processing lines, including rocking, washing, and running parts as directed.
Serve as a helper on the chemical/plating line under the direction of Chem. Tech II, III, Process Technologist, and/or Supervision/Management.
Conduct inspections of parts before, during, and after chemical processing to ensure compliance with specifications and quality standards.
Verify chemical bath concentrations, including plating solutions, and ensure they are within acceptable limits.
Monitor plating and chemical processing equipment, reporting any irregularities, deviations, or malfunctions to supervisors.
Follow safety protocols and standard operating procedures for chemical handling and plating operations.
Assist in maintaining a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of chemical waste.
Introductory Safety Training on the following:
- HAZCOM (ann. renewal)
- HAZWOPER Operator Level
- Hazard Specific Communication
- Manual Material Handling
- Training to operate SST line
- Training to manage waste treatment
- HAZWOPER Technician Level
- LOTO - Affected Employees
- Machine guarding and tool safety
- Fire Prevention Awareness
- Emergency First Aid and CPR
- Training to operate AI line
Education and Experience:
- High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Physical Requirements:
- Able to lift up to 30 lbs.
- Ability to wear PPE as required.
