Job Description

Essential Duties:

  • Establishes baselines and improvement plans for existing product
  • Designs Final and First Piece Inspection programs for existing product
  • Promotes ACE culture
  • Ensures good communication and coordination between Inspection and Engineering; understands/clarifies processes
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Working knowledge programming CMM’s with latest Zeiss/Calypso software
  • Understanding of editing principals in accordance with ASME Y14.5
  • Programming in both Teach mode and off-line
  • Ability to troubleshoot and modify existing programs as required
  • Coordinating Quality results with Manufacturing and Engineering to remove roadblocks and solve problems
  • Ability to design inspection fixturing preferred

 

Supervisory Responsibilities that may be required:

  • Supporting the QA Manager utilizing supervisor skills as required
  • Monthly reports to management
  • Improving teams’ technical abilities on CMM’s through one-on-one training
  • Helping train machinists in proper operation of CMM

                       

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years programming CMM’s utilizing blue prints and solid modeling
  • Must have well rounded experience in machining of Aerospace and Semi-conductor hardware.
  • 1-3 years experience in supervisory or lead position preferred
