CNC Mill Machinist - 3rd shift
Job Description
***This is a 3rd shift position, Friday to Sunday 5am-5:30pm***
Duties/Responsibilities of CNC Mill Machinist:
· Loads, Unloads, Starts, and Stops Machines.
· Sets the feeds and speeds of machines during the machining process.
· Watches gauges, dials, and other key indicators to make sure machines are working
properly and workpieces meet quality standards.
· Monitors machines during operation in order to detect dull cutting tools and excessive
vibration.
· Measures dimensions of finished workpieces to ensure conformance to specifications,
using precision measuring instruments, templates, and fixtures.
· Calculates and sets machine movements according to drawing specs.
· Performs other related duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities of CNC Mill Machinist:
· Knowledge of basic hand tools, including their uses and maintenance.
· Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine to exact positions.
· Ability to control the operations of machining equipment and systems.
· Basic mathematics knowledge, particularly Trigonometry.
Education and Experience of CNC Mill Machinist:
· High School Diploma or equivalent. 0-3 years of experience in relevant field preferred.
· 5S and Lean Manufacturing training.
· Basic Blueprint Reading.
· Documentation and Modern’s Production System.
· Inspection Techniques for Machinists. SPC Charts and Tools. Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing. Adjusting Boring heads.
